Die zuletzt bekannt gewordene Verwundbarkeit des iPhone/iPad OS (iOS) ist kritisch: Mittels speziell manipulierten PDFs ist es möglich, auf den vorliegenden iOS Versionen root-Rechte (höchste Administratorprivilegien) zu erlangen. Dies ist insofern äusserst kritisch, als dadurch beliebige Malware, Viren oder Trojaner installiert werden können, die dann für Angriffe auf andere Anwendungen, z.B. eCommerce, eingesetzt werden.
Bis heute gibt es noch kein Update von Apple, die diese kritische Schwachstelle behebt. Apple hat scheinbar noch nicht einmal darauf öffentlich reagiert.
Unsere Empfehlung: Lesen Sie mittels iPhones und iPads PDFs nur von sehr vertrauenswürdigen Seiten. Sobald ein Update von Apple erscheint, installieren Sie dieses Update unverzüglich.
